Sonic Vista Studios’ founder Henry Sarmiento just returned from the amazing Dancefair 2016 in the Netherlands. The event was invigorating and filled with fascinating topics about the dance music industry. Henry’s main theme was “no solid plan? no future” where he spoke passionately about the importance for artists, producers and DJ’s to have a clear vision of their objectives and thus define their artistic identity as well as develop their individuality.

“I like all those tutorials online about how to produce this and that. Hell, I like the whole Dancefair and Musicfair concept. But… I won’t give a workshop like that. Because I think it will not help you to become a successful artist. There are some very important factors that are easily overlooked. Everyone calls themself a Producer or a DJ/Producer, whatever. But have you really thought about yourself as an artist? What is your plan for now and in the future? How do you see yourself truly?
